Thanks for being flexible with Dr. Broglio, who had to reschedule for next Monday! If you haven’t already done so, check out Dr. Chris Giza’s talk from last year.

Read the example newsletters to understand the structure, key details, and the style for the synopses.
Read the original study and the supplementary documents (Option 1 or Option 2).
Read the style guide posted in the newsletter curriculum. This will be helpful and serve as a blueprint for writing the synopsis.
Compose a 150-250 word synopsis of the study
* Don’t worry about getting everything right on this practice. We are intentionally giving you guys lots of freedom, so enjoy writing this practice synopsis!
There are 3 tasks to do today:
Sign up for the Practice Newsletter Workshop. The link to sign up here.
Please put your name down for which practice synopsis option you chose so that we can have an even balance of writers.
Bring your completed practice synopsis to the Newsletter Workshop this afternoon.
Prepare for our discussion on the first 4 chapters of Shaken Brain. The questions to the discussion can be accessed here. We had a great discussion session last Friday and are looking forward to hearing your thoughts again on Wednesday!
